NOTE: Artemisia’s Forest Garden Nursery will be closing after our September 28th pick-up day. After six amazing years, Rob and Shantree have decided to dissolve the nursery to pursue different projects. Shantree will be offering educational programs at The Living Centre (est. 1983). He will continue to share his passion through his mentorships, courses and herb walks all connecting to forest gardening, wild nutrition, rewilding and support the shifting of the paradigm to a regenerative future. Rob will be working with his wife Julie to offer programs through Willow Creek Permaculture. They intend to offer a day-camp for homeschoolers, workshops, an overnight family camp, and open houses, as well as continuing their homesteading and farming activities.
For those interested in the bulk nut trees and some of the rare and unusual fruit trees, Rob will be importing trees through Willow Creek Permaculture. Details will come soon, but for now, there is some information here.
Thank you to all our wonderful customers, without whom this would not have been possible! It’s been excellent getting to know many of you, and we wish you all the best.
Our nursery has one May and one fall pick-up date each year.
How it works:
1. Order online by Sunday, September 22, 2019.
2. Pick-up plants at the Living Centre, near London, Ontario, Canada on Saturday, September 28, 2019 between 9am-4pm.
We do not ship plants. Most plants are bagged bareroot, moist, and labeled – swift pick-up and planting is essential. Most plants are grown on-site at the Living Centre using ‘beyond organic’ permaculture methods. Bulk trees and some plants we feel are important are imported and resold in pots or bare-root.
